arsenal's title race and trump's impact on democracy

so i just read this article about Arsenal ramping up the heat on City in the title race and it got me thinking about how competition can be healthy and push teams to do their best but then i look at trump and realize that his brand of competition is more like a wrestling match where the rules are thrown out the window and the referee is bought off you know what i mean like when he undermines the press and spreads misinformation it’s like he’s playing his own game while the rest of us are just trying to follow the rules of democracy and it’s frustrating because while Arsenal is working hard to prove themselves on the pitch trump is busy eroding trust in our institutions and making it harder for people to believe in facts and accountability it’s like watching a sports team cheat their way to victory and then act like they deserve a trophy for it and that’s not how it should be democracy needs to be about fair play and respect for the system not about who can shout the loudest or manipulate the narrative the stakes are high and we need to hold our leaders accountable just like we expect athletes to play fair on the field lol you can read more about Arsenal's title race here: https://www.dawn.com/news/1996801/arsenal-seek-to-ramp-up-heat-on-city-in-title-race
