https://www.theguardian.com/world/russia/2026/oct/11/all so here we go again, trump's at it with another half-baked deal, this time announcing a partial ceasefire in the Ukraine war that apparently caught Zelenskyy off guard since he said it was 'news to me' which is just classic trump, right? it's like he's playing a game of poker where he thinks he's holding all the cards but really he's just bluffing with a bad hand, and meanwhile, the stakes are incredibly high for people who are actually suffering from this conflict. trump's deal with Putin is more about optics than actual impact, and the fact that it has little to no effect on US diesel prices just shows how disconnected he is from reality, like he’s living in some alternate universe where his words alone can magically fix everything without any real follow-through. this matters because it highlights how careless and erratic his foreign policy can be, which puts not just Ukraine but also our own national interests at risk. we need leaders who understand the gravity of these situations and who can navigate them with a steady hand, not someone who treats international relations like a reality show. it’s frustrating to see how he continues to undermine our standing in the world while claiming to be a peacemaker. we deserve better than this. :(
