https://www.aol.com/entertainment/cbs-forced-broadcast-change-final-113801531.html so here we are again, another day another headline reminding us how Trump's name is still tied to controversy, even in sports where you’d think politics wouldn’t intrude, but alas, the PGA Tour had to shuffle its schedule for the Cadillac Championship held at Trump National Doral because of weather concerns, which is a nice way of saying they probably didn’t want to deal with the negative attention surrounding the venue's lackluster attendance and the fact that many top players opted out of participating, like Patrick Cantlay and Rory McIlroy, leaving us to wonder if Trump's ownership is more of a burden than a boon these days, and it’s kind of ironic that Trump himself mentioned he couldn’t watch the tournament because he’s too busy with, you know, running the country or whatever, but really, if he cared about the sport and its integrity, he might’ve thought about how his reputation affects events at his own golf courses, instead of just making jokes about catching a few minutes of the game, it’s like he’s living in this bubble where he thinks his name alone can attract fans and players, but the reality is that the golf world is moving on without him, and this whole situation just highlights how his presidency and business ventures are intertwined in ways that undermine the very values we should be upholding in sports and governance, accountability and respect for the game seem to be lost in the shuffle, and honestly, it’s frustrating to see how his actions continue to ripple through every corner of American life, even in something as simple as a golf tournament. :(
